Advance War: Days of Ruin

Posted in Uncategorized on January 28, 2008 by xaykogeki

A few days ago, I came across Advance War: Days of Ruin for DS. Well, I know this is a famous game because I saw this for Game boy and a lot of people talk about this game. So what is Advance War? Advance war is a turn-based tactics video game. This is the game for the big boys.

Each Advanced war story line differ from each other. For example, Advanced War on game boy just talks about the war between Orange Star and Blue moon. On the other hand, Advance War: Days of Ruin is much darker than the other games. A comet hit earth and people are now fighting for survival. The main character is will and escapes from the ruis of the academy’s mess hall. While traveling, he encountered a band of raiders led by “the beast”. Almost doomed, two people, Brenner and Lin of the Rubinelle 12th Battalion, came to save him. Their purpose, save all the remaining survivors. and As the story progresses, Will joined them.

Rubik’s Cube: Updated

Posted in Uncategorized on January 21, 2008 by xaykogeki

Something really made my day a hell. Everyone knows what a Rubik’s cube is right? well, because of that thing, I just got my first sanction in my school. Why? Because that thing for some reason, became popular in our school and it is now forbidden to play with it. Some people only brought that because electronics like cellular phone, ipods and other things are forbidden. Weird eh?

So, I was in the science laboratory and we were preparing for a demonstration on some reactions. My classmate took out his 2×2 rubik’s cube (2×2 is interesting) and started to play with it. I got amused by it and borrowed it for a while. then after a few minutes, my teacher came. The Teacher: “Psst! (with hand gesture)” I was like, oH..Shet!XD. I forgot it was banned. haha. So, the teacher took it and I presume that I will be given a greenslip (our small sanction.) because anyone who gets caught playing it got one. It was my first in my whole life.

To be honest, I don’t blame Rubik’s cube. I just blame myself (No Kidding). But because of this incident, I will never touch another rubik’s cube again.

It has been almost a week since the incident happened. Up to now, no greenslip has been given to me. Though the person who owned the rubik’s cube wants his cube back. lol. I am still green slip free up to now.

Vista.

Posted in Computer on January 14, 2008 by xaykogeki

What a weird title. but anyway, what’s with vista? seriously. i just bought my notebook around April something and now it’s crashing like hell. The notebook is Dell Inspiron E1505. Since it’s dell, even though my notebook is only 1.6ghz, should be fast. It is also core 2 duo which should make it better. But instead, it gives me this crappy thing. How crappy? Guess what, I play Starcraft on that notebook and play LOTR: Battle for middle earth II on a 1.72ghz desktop. Is is just me or my notebook is weird. Seriously, my notebook has 80G of free space right now. I transferred all my files to my HDD. What shame. Do you think I should downgrade all the way back to XP? I keep wasting my time restarting my notebook.

Is vista really the problem? What is microsoft doing releasing vista? not that I really blame them. It’s just that, I wasted my money. And if I want to downgrade it, I have to buy XP which costs around P5k. I got a lot problem right now and vista is adding it. Along with a crappy internet, wow! what a life. I know that I am not the master of all notebooks and computer things but I know when is my thing crappy and have to change it.

Tophism

Posted in Avatar on January 13, 2008 by xaykogeki

Now, we have the very famous Toph Bei Fong. For all Toph fans out there, don’t drool. ha ha. Yes, I know she’s cute, pretty and hot. She’s a 12-year old Earthbender (metalbender also) No, I am no Pedophilia. She’s 5′1″ and with her hair bun, 5′3″. Her Chinese name is 北方 托芙 (běi fāng tuò fú). In addition, She is the only child of the wealthy Bei Fong Tophfamily, who reside in the Earth Kingdom town of Gaoling.

Since she is blind, her parents are being over protective of her and kept her in a beginner level of Earthbending. She learned earthbending from badgermoles. She is always attending a tournament, Earth Rumble, before she was fought by Aang and in the end, joined the group of Aang after escaping.

Despite being blind, she sure can fight. She can see (not literally) by using the earth’s vibrations. Even though she can punch well, she also has weaknesses. She can’t swim, fight in sand and fight airbenders. Toph’s earthbending style is based on Chu Gar Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu, which is a style that is apparently unique to her. The style of Earthbending used by other Earthbenders is rooted in the Hung Gar style of Kung Fu.

So, I know that I got Tophism now. I don’t know if it’s bad though. I just can’t go on another -ism after what happened to me at Love Hina. I took this things seriously for some reasons.

Want some curry? In this manga, the main character, Koenji Makito, was looking for someone. He traveled a long way looking for a guy. One day, Looking like a half-dead man on the road, a girl named Sonezaki Yui, threw some bread and tea at him. He suddenly woke got hit by the food and Yui, scared half to death for what she did, ran back to her house. Makoto followed her and arrived at the “Curry house cooking Ganesha”. Yui saw him and thought that he wants revenge but instead came looking for his dad and this is the start of a new beginning.

Basically, this manga is about curry. In every Recipe shown, a corresponding procedure on how to cook the curry will be shown if you want to try it. So the food here can really be made in real life unlike some cooking shows. This manga has a little fan service to make it a little exciting for readers. If you also read the next few volumes, the story line is very clear. I recommend this manga whoever wants to eat or cook curry or just an ordinary reader. This manga will be a great help to your life.

Total NV Review

Posted in Bowling on January 6, 2008 by xaykogeki

So, this is the infamous Total NV (New Veener) from Ebonite.

This is the only ball to use the Traxion Reactive 0.30 coverstock. Good for Medium to Heavy.

I have this ball but it’s second hand as a test ball in Indonesia. In the Philippines, this ball cost around $200 or P10,000 brand new when it first arrived. A lot of bowlers tried it and a lot are satisfied. Why? It’s strong actually. I personally like this ball. And I know the ball is too good for my skills. (Yes, I suck at bowling).nv.jpg

So this ball also uses Symmetrical Mass Bias core. What does that mean?

Symmetry in common usage generally conveys two primary meanings. The first is an imprecise sense of harmonious or aesthetically-pleasing proportionality and balance; such that it reflects beauty or perfection. The second meaning is a precise and well-defined concept of balance or “patterned self-similarity” that can be demonstrated or proved according to the rules of a formal system: by geometry, through physics or otherwise. (www.wikipedia.com)

So basically, the core, when it’s asymmetrical, it’s not balance. The core is not in equal if you cut it in half. I may be not the perfect bowler but this is what I understand.

This ball also opens a whole new drilling option. The instructions came with the ball. (I lost it)

Drilling Options A, B and C. The only drilling I remembered is drilling option A which is long and strong.
